Smart Hub preprocesses device data before routing it to the cloud, provided there is an internet connection. It also provides a medium to download firmware updates or upload device information.

It has the capability to do local processing and edge computing, which improves the effectiveness of existing IoT devices.

When offline, it will store data locally until internet connectivity is re-established, at which point it will upload data to the cloud.
